The Royal Enfield Continental GT 750 (dubbed the Royal Enfield Interceptor 750 by the web media) has been teased by Siddhartha Lal, the CEO of the company, and Rudratej Singh, President, Royal Enfield at the brand’s UK technology centre in Bruntingthorpe.
Rudratej Singh sent out a tweet with a picture in which there appear to be three motorcycles. The one in the front gets a bench seat which is reminiscent of the Triumph Bonneville range. The bike also features tank knee pads and the colour appears slightly darker than the Classic 350 Redditch Red. The reflection on Lal’s helmet possibly indicates that the bike has a straight chromed exhaust. It could be possible that one will be a café racer and another will be a classic, a la the Bonneville.

The motorcycle behind Singh reveals a variant with a diamond-stitch seat. It looks like it can accommodate a pillion too. The upswept matte black exhaust is visible, so does the rear spoke wheel that could possibly have an aluminium rim. The third bike is visible just behind Lal where one can see the oil-cooler and the matte black exhaust header.
The Royal Enfield 750 cc motorcycle could debut on 7 November in Milan, Italy. This month, the bike was spotted in India with ABS. In another instance, two versions of the motorcycle were spotted, indicating the launch of more than one variant. The powerplant is a 750 cc parallel unit with oil cooling and fuel injection. The engine reportedly features a 270-degree crank for optimal refinement and will be highway worthy with a higher top speed than any current RE bike. The downtubes of the double cradle frame hold the longitudinal radiator.

The chief rival of the Royal Enfield 750 will be the Harley-Davidson Street 750, and the bike is likely to cost around INR 4 lakh when it launches in India this financial year. Expect the ABS variant at an INR 20k-30k premium over the standard bike. When launched, this motorcycle will be the fastest and most powerful Royal Enfield on sale.
