The Hyundai Verna is the most the powerful car in its segment with the diesel variant having an output of 128 PS. Even the petrol variant is more powerful than segment leaders Honda City and Maruti Ciaz.

New Hyundai Verna N IAB rendering
Hyundai Verna N imagined with exterior enhancements including bigger air intakes and 19-inch rims.

IAB's automotive illustrator has created a rendering of what a possible Hyundai Verna N variant could look like, a hotter version for performance junkies. Taking cues from existing products of Hyundai's N performance division, the Verna N gets a more aggressive front bumper with a blacked out cascading grille and air inlets to cool the brakes. LED lights replace the fog lamps, and the black lower lip gets a red stripe running across its length.

The Hyundai Verna N rides on 10-spoke 19-inch rims similar to the i30 N's wheels. It gets black bezel headlamps, a black roof, and black ORVM casing, which add to the car's sporty intentions. The grille bears the N logo.

If Hyundai were ever to put the car into production, it could plonk the 2.0 L turbocharged four cylinder engine from the i30 N. This unit delivers 275 PS of maximum power and 353 Nm of peak torque. Power is sent to the front wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission option. A more mellow Hyundai Verna N could also use the Elantra Sport's 1.6 L T-GDI inline four petrol, which produces 201 hp and 264 Nm mated to a 7-speed DCT with paddle shifters.
