Hyundai's B-SUV for Europe and North America premieres in South Korea.
Hyundai has taken the wraps off the Hyundai Kona in South Korea. Here are the live images of the B-SUV's interior, courtesy konamembers.kr.
The Hyundai Kona's presents the company's next-gen SUV design direction, but on the inside, things are quite familiar. The dashboard looks unique, but the 3-spoke multifunction steering wheel and the floating display atop the dashboard, as well as the gearshift lever and floor console, look quite similar to those of the Hyundai i30. Body colour accents around the HVAC vents and gearshift lever and body colour stitching on the steering wheel and seat covers complement the sporty exterior of the SUV.
The Hyundai Kona is equipped with a slew of advanced technologies for its segment, including a head-up display that projects an image 8-inch in size and with a brightness of 10,000 cd/m2 (10,000 nt), 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with satellite navigation, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, rear-view camera and 4G connectivity and wireless charging.

The Hyundai Kona measures 4,165 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width and 1,550 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,600 mm. Hyundai will offer the Hyundai Kona with 120 PS 1.0-litre T-GDI petrol, 149 PS 2.0-litre MPi petrol, 177 PS 1.6-litre T-GDI petrol and 136 PS 1.6-litre diesel engine options. Transmission choices include 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. Drivetrain layout choices include front-wheel drive and four-wheel drive.
