Will the next-gen Suzuki Hayabusa look like this?

Neelanjan Chakraborty, Motorcycle Nut, will ride, preferably race anything on two wheels!

The Suzuki Hayabusa is named after the peregrine falcon.

With the next-generation Suzuki Hayabusa officially confirmed a new image of the motorcycle has come up in a Japanese magazine which might be the first accurate look at the sports tourer.

The next-gen Suzuki Hayabusa retains the bulky looks but is more aggressive than the outgoing version and will also be significantly lighter.

The Hayabusa will retain its bulky appearance but will be considerably lighter than the outgoing version. The bike is also set to gain a plethora of riding aids. Suzuki can be expected to go overboard with the new Suzuki Hayabusa and include fully adjustable and active suspension setup at both ends. The braking system could be shared with the 2017 Suzuki GSX-R1000.

The powertrain can be expected to be a new unit. The present generation Suzuki Hayabusa, which is assembled in India, is powered by a 1,340 cc four-cylinder mill coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. The engine is capable of producing 197.14 PS of maximum power at 9,500 rpm and 155 Nm of peak torque at 7,200 rpm.

The Suzuki Hayabusa spy image has subtle resemblances to the Suzuki GSX concept from the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show. The LED daytime running lights and headlamp design have aggression reeking from it. The air intake design has the same language and the tall windscreen will be a boon during high-speed riding. The exhaust canister too has the same shape as that of the concept.

The next generation Suzuki Hayabusa could break cover at the EICMA 2017 or the Tokyo Motor Show later this year.
