Will reportedly be introduced in H2 2017.
With the fourth generation Suzuki Swift officially unveiled last month, the eagerly awaited next-gen Suzuki Swift Sport is just months away from going official. An Auto Plus reader recently spied a 2017 Suzuki Swift Sport test mule in Morainvilliers, France.
The 2017 Suzuki Swift Sport will apparently feature a sporty body kit, revised front bumpers, sporty alloy wheels and dual circular exhausts. The interior could have an all-black theme and see increased usage of leather on certain elements and chrome accents. With the next-gen VW Polo GTI also expected to arrive later this year, Suzuki will need to spruce up the Swift Sport with more performance.
The 2017 Suzuki Swift Sport is said to be offered in multiple configurations internationally. Some markets could get the 1.0-litre BOOSTERJET turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine, for others, the all-new Swift Sport could be a hybrid. The top-end international-spec Swift Sport would be powered by the 1.4-litre BOOSTERJET turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine that is currently offered in the Vitara and S-Cross.

Maruti Suzuki is reportedly considering the Swift Sport for India, and if approved, it could be launched with the Maruti Baleno RS' 1.0-litre BOOSTERJET three-cylinder petrol engine that produces 75 kW (100.54 kW) at 5,500 rpm and 150 Nm of torque at 1,700-4,500 rpm. The bigger and much more powerful 1.4-litre BOOSTERJET engine may not prove to be economical for India.
