Expected debut at the 2016 Paris Motor Show in October.
Porsche has dropped a teaser video of the 2017 Porsche Panamera, which reveals the design of its rear end. The next generation 4-door sedan is expected to debut at the 2016 Paris Motor Show in this October.
It appears that the design will borrow cues from the new Porsche 911, as seen in the taillamp design and rear haunches. Spyshots and this teaser also reveal that the new Panamera will draw more influence from the Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo Concept, thus featuring a less-bulbous and a dynamic exterior.
The next gen Porsche Panamera will ride on an all new MSB platform and, along with a long-wheelbase variant, will also be available as a wagon for the first time. With the new platform, the new Panamera is expected to be around 100 kg lighter than the outgoing model.
Reports from the media ride of the prototypes state that the lineup will include a twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 engine in the Panamera Turbo, a 4.0-litre V8 turbodiesel in the Panamera Diesel S (same engine in the 2016 Audi SQ7 TDI), twin-turbo 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine for the Panamera 4S and single turbo V6 engines for lower variants. All variants will be paired to the next generation PDK gearbox as standard, which is a new eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
