After a year since its world premiere at NAIAS 2016 in Detroit, the 2017 Mercedes E-Class is finally set to go on sale in India this year. Mercedes India has confirmed that the 2017 Mercedes E-Class LWB will launch in India on February 28.
The fifth generation Mercedes E-Class will be sold only in the long-wheelbase variant (codename: Mercedes V213), which has been exclusive to China, so far. The E-Class LWB measures 5,065 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width (2,065 mm with mirrors open) and 1,467 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 3,079 mm.

Figures may vary in the Indian-spec version. Both models feature the 9G-TRONIC 9-speed automatic transmission as standard, which sends power to the rear wheels.
Recent spy shots of the India-made E Class have revealed features such as a 12 inch COMAND infotainment system, LED ambient lighting , rear arm rests and cup holders, active city braking and Remote Parking Pilot, power-operated rear seats, standard instrument cluster with a color MID, power-operated sun blinds, and LED-powered headlamps and taillamps.
