2017 Mercedes E-Class Cabriolet
The world premiere of the 2017 Mercedes E-Class Cabriolet in Geneva completes the latest generation Mercedes E-Class family. The 2017 Mercedes E-Class measures 4,826 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width and 1,428 mm in height, and compared to the outgoing model, it is 123 mm longer, 74 mm wider and 30 mm lower. It shares the same 2,873 mm wheelbase with the coupe version.
The new generation Mercedes E-Class Cabriolet buyers can specify the fabric soft top in dark brown, dark blue, dark red or black. The roof fully opens and closes in 20 seconds, at speeds of up to 50 km/h. The driver doesn't need to stop the car to operate the boot separator manually, thanks to the fully electrical control included in the optional Cabriolet Comfort package. There's 385 litres of boot space available, but this figure reduces to 310 on dropping the top. The AIRCAP electric draught-stop system and the AIRSCARF neck-level heating system are available on request.
Mercedes-Benz will release complete technical specifications of the 2017 Mercedes E-Class at a later date, but expect the same engines from the coupe version to power the drop-top version. The 9G-TRONIC 9-speed automatic transmission is standard, and for the first time, the 4MATIC permanent all-wheel drive system is available.
Noteworthy features of the 2017 Mercedes E-Class Cabriolet include high-resolution MULTIBEAM LED headlamps, 20-inch wheels, slim LED tail lamps, air suspension, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, COMAND Online infotainment system with 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, ambient lighting with 64 colours and Burmester sound system.
