The all-new Jaguar XF Sportbrake is available with four 2.0L four-cylinder and two 3.0L six-cylinder engine options. The diesel range starts with a 2.0-litre Ingenium engine producing 163 PS and 380 Nm of torque. Above that, there's another 2.0-litre Ingenium engine tuned to deliver 180 PS and 430 Nm of torque. Then there's an even more powerful 2.0-litre Ingenium engine, developing 240 PS and 500 Nm of torque. A 3.0-litre TDV6 diesel engine good for 300 PS and 700 Nm of torque tops the 2017 XF Sportbrake diesel range. However, this option is limited to USA, China, the Middle East and North Africa.

There are only two petrol engine options for the 2017 Jaguar XF Sportbrake. A 2.0-litre Ingenium petrol engine (250 PS/365 Nm) is the base option. Above that, is a 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine (380 PS/450 Nm) from the Jaguar F-Type. 6-speed manual (163 PS 2.0L Ingenium diesel-only) and 8-speed automatic are the transmission choices. Rear-wheel drive is the standard drivetrain layout, although all-wheel drive is available optionally in select configurations.
