Will debut in South Korea next month.
Hyundai has released the first teaser images of the 2017 Hyundai Sonata (facelift) in South Korea. The teaser image confirms that a performance variant 'Hyundai Sonata Turbo' is also arriving with the facelifted model.
The facelifted Hyundai Sonata gains its inspiration from the sixth generation Hyundai Grandeur introduced last year. The front and rear of the car get some extensive changes with the facelift. Up front, the 2017 model features the new headlamps, cascading grille, smaller lower grille, revised bumper and resculpted bonnet. The Turbo variant sports a honeycomb grille and slightly different bumpers.
At the rear, the new Hyundai Sonata gets redesigned three-bar taillamps, redesigned tailgate with wide-spaced 'SONATA' lettering on it, modified bumper and dual trapezoidal exhaust pipes. The license plate has been moved from the trunk lid to the bumper. The turbo variant has a slightly different rear bumper with a rear diffuser, and the same exhaust tips split into two.

Hyundai will introduce the 2017 Hyundai Sonata and Hyundai Sonata turbo in South Korea in March 2017. Despite its Auto Expo 2016 presence, the seventh generation Sonata's Indian launch plan remains a mystery.
