Could be introduced in the U.S. later this year.
A report from Livemint states that the next generation Honda CR-V will be assembled with 65% localization in India when it launches in 2017. It could be introduced in the U.S and other global markets from the end of 2016.
The next-gen Honda CR-V will be based on the tenth-gen Honda Civic’s platform. Engine lineup will include i-VTEC naturally aspirated engines, all new turbocharged petrol engines as well as turbodiesel options for few markets, with displacements between 1.5- to 2.4-litre. A plug-in hybrid powertrain, combining a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine with electric motor could also be introduced.
The exterior will draw cues from the tenth generation Honda Civic and the current CR-V. Spyshots reveal a trapezoidal grille flanked by sleek LED headlamps, redesigned bumper with more sculpted features and larger intakes for a sportier look. The side profile appears to be longer, yet nearly similar to the current model. The overall greenhouse, even in the next gen model, is still very much current CR-V-like.

The rear-end features new L-shaped taillights similar to the new Civic and the Acura Concept SUV-X. As for the interior, there are no details or images at the moment, although reports suggest that a three-row version could be offered for the first time in select markets.
