Honda revealed the North American-spec 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback last month, and now, the company has released the Euro-spec 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback's teaser. The Euro-spec tenth-gen Honda Civic Hatchback will be unveiled at the 2016 Paris Motor Show which starts on September 30. Also premiering at the French motor show, will be the Euro-spec 2017 Honda Civic Sedan.
The 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback will be offered in Europe with three engines. The all-new model will be the first Honda in Europe to be introduced with the 1.0-litre VTEC TURBO three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine. Also available will be the familiar 1.5-litre VTEC TURBO four-cylinder unit. There will be only one diesel model, powered by a heavily revised 1.6-litre i-DTEC four-cylinder turbocharged engine.
Honda hasn't revealed the car's dimensions yet, but has confirmed that the new generation model will be 130 mm longer, 30 mm wider and 20 mm lower than the current model which measures 4,370 mm in length, 1,770 mm in width (2,065 mm including door mirrors) and 1,470 mm (including Shark Fin antenna) in height.
The 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback will be manufactured at the company's Swindon plant in the UK and go on sale in Europe in early-2017. The 2017 Honda Civic sedan will be built at the company's Gebzé, Turkey plant and go on sale in Europe in early-2017 too. There are reports stating that Honda Cars India will launch the new Civic sedan by the end of this decade, so as to re-enter the executive sedan segment composed of models like the 2016 Hyundai Elantra, Skoda Octavia, VW Jetta and Toyota Corolla Altis.
