The Honda CBR650F was the first high displacement motorcycle to be assembled by Honda in India.
A report in Overdrive claims that the 2017 Honda CBR650F will be launched in India in June 2017. The sports tourer is said to carry a new price tag of INR 7.60 lakhs (ex-showroom).
The 2017 Honda CBR650F is powered by the 649 cc liquid cooled, in-line four cylinder mill coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. The engine is capable of producing an increased 91 PS of maximum power and 64 Nm of peak torque. This has been possible primarily due to a revised intake and exhaust system. The bike tips the scales at 213 kg.
The suspension system consists of new 41 mm Showa Dual Bending Valve front fork and a 7-step adjustable monoshock in the rear operating directly on a die-cast aluminium swingarm. Brakes include new Nissin calliper in the front while ABS continues to be standard. The fairing has been redesigned, and the new colour options include Millennium Red, Pearl Metalloid White and Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic.
Honda also claims that the 2017 Honda CBR650F gets shorter gear ratio from the 2nd cog to the 5th cog. The power output is also said to be more noticeable from 5,000 rpm.
In related news, Honda India has started accepting bookings for the 2017 Honda CBR1000RR which has a price tag of INR 17.61 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
