Second-gen model to be available in three trim levels at launch.
The 2017 GMC Acadia that was launched in the USA in May will go on sale across showrooms in the Middle East this October. The all-new model will be available in three trim levels: SLE, SLT and Denali; the base SL trim level is being skipped for the Middle East.
Positioned between the compact GMC Terrain and the full-size GMC Yukon, the GMC Acadia mid-size crossover is available in 5-, 6- and 7-seat seating layouts. The second generation model shares the E2XX platform with the Cadillac XT5, and is 318 kg lighter than the outgoing model.
The ME-spec 2017 GMC Acadia is powered by the LGX 310 hp 3.6-litre V6 petrol engine which is paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission and an electronically controlled drive mode selector. The significant weight reduction has resulted in the crossover becoming more efficient - the front-wheel drive models are claimed to have a fuel consumption of 9.1 L/100 km (highway).
