Audi India has announced the prices of the 2016 Audi A4 luxury sedan today. The fifth generation A4 is only available in the 30 TFSI petrol variant, which is priced at INR 38.1 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi) for the Premium Plus grade and INR 41.20 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi) for the Technology grade. Bookings will be open across all Audi India dealerships tomorrow.
Following the Audi Q7 and Bentley Bentayga, the fifth gen A4 is the newest product in India to ride on the VAG's MLB 2 (MLB Evo) platform. With the new platform, Audi has managed to reduce the weight by up to 120 kg. At the tape, it measures 4,726 mm in length, 1,842 mm in width and 1,427 in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,820 mm. Compared to the outgoing model, the fifth gen Audi A4 is 25 mm longer, 16 mm wider and has a 12 mm longer wheelbase.
The A4 Technology will be equipped with LED headlights and taillamps, Virtual Cockpit Display, updated Audi MMI system with an 8.3-inch display unit, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, 10 speaker Audi sound system, parking aid plus, power adjustable seats as well as tri-zone climate control.
The 30 TFSI variant is powered by a 1.4-litre TFSI petrol engine that develops 110 kW (150 PS/147.45 hp) and 250 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 7-speed S-Tronic gearbox as standard, although there's no option of Audi's Quattro AWD system. Audi claims that the A4 30 TFSI can return an average fuel efficiency of 17.85 km/L.
