The TVS Akula 310 concept that was unveiled at Auto Expo 2016 has been confirmed for production. It's reported to be named TVS Apache RTR 300. According to a report from Rushlane, the TVS Apache RTR 300, price-wise, will rival with the KTM RC 200.
The KTM RC 200 is priced at INR 1.69 lakh ex-showroom Delhi. This means that the TVS Apache RTR 300 could be priced in the INR 1.50-1.75 lakh bracket. When launched, the TVS Apache RTR 300 will be the company's new flagship motorcycle sitting above the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V.
The TVS Apache RTR 300 will be the company's first fully-faired motorcycle to be available commercially. It will also be the first production motorcycle resulting out of TVS Motor's alliance with BMW Motorrad. The TVS Apache RTR 300 will be based on the BMW G 310 R, BMW Motorrad's first quarter-litre motorcycle.

Powering the TVS Apache RTR 300, will be the BMW G 310 R's 313 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. This motor delivers 34 hp (25 kW) at 9,500 rpm and 21 lb.-ft. (28 Nm) of torque at 7,500 rpm in the BMW offering. Sending power to the wheel, will be a 6-speed transmission. Tall windshield, upside-down front forks, monoshock rear suspension, Pirelli-sourced tyres, front and rear disc brakes with two-channel anti-lock braking system (ABS) and fully digital instrument panel are expected to be the key features of the TVS Apache RTR 300.
