The base variant will not get the 5-spoke diamond cut alloy wheels seen in the top-end model, but rather a smaller set of steel rims

Compared to the top-end variant parked in the middle, the Tata Hexa base variant will not get projector headlamps, foglamps, and LED daytime running strips in the front fascia. It will also not get the 5-spoke diamond cut alloy wheel, but rather a smaller set of steel rims. Roof rails seen in the top-end grade are not seen in the test mule too.

The base variant is likely to not be as generously equipped as the top-end Hexa, which will feature ESP (Electronic Stability Program), 8-way adjustable driver’s seat, leather upholstery, 6 airbags, ABS, EBD, Traction control, cruise control, steering-mounted controls and a 5-inch touchscreen entertainment designed by Harman.

For the Hexa, Tata could introduce a sub-2.0L diesel engine based on the current 2.2L VARICOR unit, due to the ban on certain diesel engines in Delhi NCR. Transmission options could include a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox, while an AWD system would be exclusive for the top-end grade.
