Biggest change would be the 1.0L turbocharged engine.

Honda will also stop taking orders for the current Freed from June, according to the Twitter user.

This falls in line with Honda Cars president & CEO, Takahiro Hachigo' confirmation that the next generation Honda Freed will be launched in Japan later this year. This was stated at a press conference held on February 24, 2016 in Tokyo, Japan.

One of the biggest changes on the 2016 Honda Freed could be the introduction of the 1.0L three cylinder Turbo engine. Although there are no performance figures speculated, the same engine produced 127 hp in a Honda Civic prototype. The downsized motor will replace the 1.5-liter four-cylinder naturally aspirated i-VTEC (petrol) engine in the current Freed, which develops 118 bhp and 146 Nm of torque.

The exterior will adopt Honda’s new design language, so expect sharper design lines and bold chrome elements. Inside, the design will be overhauled as well, sporting touch-sensitive buttons seen in the Honda Jazz (Fit) and City, more interior space, new infotainment system, and an updated instrument cluster.
