The Mahindra KUV100 was launched today with prices starting at INR 4.42 lakhs, ex-Showroom, Pune. According to Mahindra, the KUV100 will primarily rival the Hyundai Grand i10, Maruti Swift and Maruti Swift Dzire.

The KUV100 is powered by Mahindra's latest mFalcon family of petrol and diesel engines. The 1.2-liter three-cylinder petrol (G80) develops 82 bhp and 114 Nm of torque, whereas the 1.2-liter three-cylinder diesel (D75) makes 77 bhp and 190 Nm of torque. Both engines are available with a 5-speed manual transmission only.
The petrol engine is good for 18.15 km/l and the diesel is rated at 25.32 km/l. The KUV100 is also equipped with Mahindra's Micro Hybrid technology (start-stop technology) and Power and Eco driving modes.

Inside, the KUV100 is available with two seating configurations: 5- and 6-seater options. According to Mahindra, the front bench seat can accommodate three adults with the middle occupant getting a lap belt. The floor at the front and rear is made flat for enhanced legroom as well.
A Bluetooth-enabled music system, steering mounted audio controls, electrically-adjustable wing mirrors, front and rear armrest, follow-me and lead-me lights and a rear wiper/washer are some of the features of the KUV100.

On the safety front, all variants of the KUV100 come with ABS and EBD as standard. Dual front airbags are standard on the top-end K8 variant, and optional on other variants.
