Drops the canvas top in 20 seconds at speeds upto 31 mph.
Mercedes has revealed the fourth and final bodystyle of the current C-Class at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show today. Dubbed as the 2016 Mercedes C-Class Cabriolet, it will go on sale from late summer.
Like its bigger brother, the S-Class Cabriolet, the C-Class Cabriolet has a canvas top that can open and close in 20 seconds at speeds upto 31 mph. Otherwise, it looks identical to the C-Class Coupe that was revealed at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show.
Inside, it is identical to the C-Class sedan, featuring a free-standing COMAND infotainment system with touchpad controller, three-spoke multi-function steering wheel, twin-pod instrument cluster, center console finished in gloss black and sport seats wrapped in Artico leather upholstery.
With the unveil of the C-Class Cabriolet, the manufacturer has introduced a new variant called the Mercedes-AMG C43 Cabriolet, which packs a 3.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V6 that is capable of 362 hp. Also available is a regular C300 variant, powered by 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder making 241 hp.
Both variants will be equipped with Merc's new 9G-TRONIC automatic gearbox, unlike its 4-door sedan brother. A 4MATIC AWD system will be optional in the C300 Cabriolet variant.
