The 2016 KTM RC390 has been snapped, reportedly in India, for the first time. The model is expected to be launched in India at the 2016 Auto Expo which will take place in Greater Noida in February.
The 2016 model year version of the RC390 has undergone some substantial equipment changes while retaining the cosmetics except, for two elements. The notable upgrades on the 2016 RC390 are a slipper clutch system (that is already being offered on the KTM Duke 390), a larger front disc rotor measuring 320 mm in overall diameter, the ride-by-wire technology that replaces the traditional cable mechanism, an adjustable front brake and clutch lever, and the new exhaust can made of aluminium that replaces the underbelly exhaust unit. The latter is compliant to the forthcoming Euro4 emission norms.
Of the aforementioned upgrades, the two elements that alter the appeal of the super sport model are the larger disc rotor and the conventional exhaust canister.
