Launch in South Korea to take place in a month's time.
According to a report on The Korean Car Blog, the next generation 2016 Hyundai Elantra (2016 Hyundai Avante) will have its world premiere at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show next week.
The publication reports that the Korean car company was originally planning a debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November, but rescheduled to Frankfurt as it wants to launch the sedan in its home market in South Korea within a month.
While teasers of the 2016 Elantra, codenamed 'AD' were released last month, images revealing its front and rear have made themselves available on the internet, previewing a revolutionary design approach inspired by premium Hyundai products such as the Genesis.
On the feature front, an 8-inch touchscreen entertainment system with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a high-end music system, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot detection and an Advanced Smart Cruise control are among those that will be seen on the Corolla-rival.
According to reports, one of the engines confirmed for the 2016 Elantra is a 1.6-liter T-GDi with 175 hp on tap, and matched to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Post its introduction in markets such as South Korea and USA, the 2016 Elantra will arrive in India sometime towards the end of 2016 or by early 2017.
