Here are the first images of the next generation 2016 Honda Pilot, ahead of its debut at the Chicago Auto Show tonight.
Honda is yet to give out the tech specs or details of the now third generation full-sized SUV. In an earlier statement, the company said that the 2016 Pilot will bring "new technology, advanced safety, class-leading fuel economy and enhanced family utility and versatility" to its segment.
The outgoing Pilot is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 gasoline engine capable of 250 hp, matched to a 5-speed automatic transmission with a 4WD arrangement. The powertrain details of the new Pilot will be revealed tonight (Indian time).
Inside, the Pilot gets a dual-tone black-and-beige interior with a touchscreen infotainment system, dual-zone climate control, a partly digital instrument cluster and buttons for toggling the transmission. Other features seen in these images include a sunroof, heated and cooled seats, a Blu-ray player and a button for what seems to be like the city safety system.

The Pilot, as reported earlier, will not make it to the Indian market. Honda Cars India is reportedly planning a compact SUV based on the Brio's platform. At the premium end of the segment, the company would launch a facelift for the CR-V.
