Honda Atlas Cars has released the order guide and pricing of the tenth generation 2016 Honda Civic in Pakistan, a report from PakWheels Blog reveals. Around 5,000 units are reported to have been ordered as of last week.
The 2016 Honda Civic will be available in two models in Pakistan: 1.8 Oriel and 1.5 VTEC TURBO. The latter's unprecedented demand led to the company temporarily closing its booking, but bookings for this model have been reopened again. The 2016 Civic 1.8 Oriel is priced at PKR 25,29,000 (INR 16,22,975.25) and the 2016 Civic 1.5 VTEC Turbo is priced at PKR 28,99,000 (INR 18,60,421.21).
The local subsidiary hasn't released the engine specifications yet, but as the car will probably be sourced from Thailand, ASEAN specifications are likely to apply, Thai specifications to be more specific. The 1.8-litre i-VTEC engine should be the naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol unit producing 141 hp at 6,500 rpm and 174 Nm of torque at 4,300 rpm. The 1.5-litre VTEC TURBO engine should be the turbocharged four-cylinder petrol unit that delivers 173 hp at 5,500 rpm and 220 Nm of torque at 1,700-5,500 rpm.
