Marks the return of the Honda Accord.
Zigwheels reports that the 2016 Honda Accord will launch in India on October 30. However, Honda Cars India is yet to confirm the launch date of the ninth-generation Accord.
Unveiled in its facelifted form at the Auto Expo, the ninth-gen Accord will be available in both petrol and hybrid variants. The Accord hybrid combines a 2.0L Atkinson Cycle i-VTEC 4-cylinder engine with two electric motors and a 1.3 kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery. It produces a max output of 215 hp and capable of averaging a fuel economy of 23.8 km/L (not ARAI-certified) and carbon emissions of only 99 gram/km.
Competing as a full-size sedan from a mass-market car manufacturer in India, the Accord is expected to be loaded to the brim with equipment. Expect features like a 7.7-inch infotainment system, separate touchscreen with Apple CarPlay support, rearview camera, Active Cornering LED headlamps, Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System (AVAS) and six airbags.
