To launch next year, before the next generation model comes out in 2018.
While rumors of BMW using the front end design of the 2 Series for the 1 Series facelift are still as strong as ever, here is a rendering of the upcoming refreshed version from Quattroruote magazine. The 5-door hatchback featured in the rendering uses the same styling as the current version but with the headlamps, kidney grille, and bumper from the 2 series (the whole front end, basically).
It is expected to make a debut next year, with an Indian arrival likely to happen before the year end. Apart from the much expected front-end styling update, the car could also receive a few engine tweaks for increased performance and efficiency. Revised taillamps and rear bumper are also expected, while the latest version of iDrive might also find its way to the car.
