Initial units will be CBU models.
The next generation 2016 Audi Q7 is scheduled to launch in the Indian market on December 10, several Audi India dealers informed Indian Autos Blog. Initial units will be brought into the country via the CBU route, while locally assembled models could be introduced from next year.
The only engine variant that would be available in India is the Audi Q7 45 TDI, as seen in import listings on Zauba.com. The 45 TDI variant is powered by a 3.0-liter TDI unit that produces 183kW (245.40 hp) and 600 Nm of peak torque between 1500 to 3000 rpm.
Power is transferred to all wheels through the Quattro system and 8-speed tiptronic automatic gearbox. Audi claims 0-100 kmph in 6.3 seconds and a top speed of 234 kmph. The fuel efficiency is claimed at 17.54 kmpl (not ARAI-certified) with carbon emissions of 149 g/km.
