Will be unveiled prior to the Frankfurt Motor Show which takes place in September.
French publication Auto-Moto has rendered the front, rear and dashboard of the next generation 2016 Audi A4. Set to be revealed shortly before the Frankfurt Motor Show (which takes place in the second week of September 2015) this year, Audi's popular sedan and estate will undergo a massive transformation.
New headlight clusters with an unconventional kink make their prominent appearance on the front fascia, which also gets Audi's latest chrome-bordered Singleframe grille. Over to the rear, the A4 in these renderings sports a mature appearance with its split taillight enclosures and A3 Sedan-like integrated bootlip spoiler.
The sophisticated interior is expected to be packed with technology like a touch-controlled MMI system, a Virtual Cockpit for the instrument cluster and a high-end surround system. The stubby gearlever, which will control a 9-speed automatic transmission, seems lifted from the new Audi Q7.
Based on a new MLB Evo platform, the new A4 is expected to be lighter by 100 kg. Thanks to this weight saving, Audi is reported to offer entry-level variants with a 1.4-liter TFSI engine with COD (Cylinder on Demand) or a 1.6-liter TDI diesel engine.
