Debuted at the Thailand Motor Expo this month.
Soon after its launch, the Yamaha M-Slaz was showcased in Thailand with Ohlins shock absorber and a variety of accessories including a designer headlamp cowl, hand guards, a crankcase cover, a radiator shield and a rear mud guard.
Thus far, no accessory has been announced that will influence the performance of the motorcycle, like the Akrapovic exhaust. The Ohlins rear shock absorber is suitable for better track riding, which the stock monoshock is already known to be good at. It is expected to be priced between IDR 3.5 million to IDR 5 million (INR 17,000 to INR 24,000) The other add-ons revealed cater to the safety of the rider and the motorcycle.
The M-Slaz was premiered to the world in Thailand on December 1, on the eve of the 2015 Thailand Motor Expo.
The company hasn’t released the power and torque specifications of the engine and hasn’t mentioned if the gearbox has been tweaked. But it is confirmed that the engine is the same 149 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder unit with SOHC, 4 valves and a fuel injection system that is seen on the Yamaha R15.
