Minor mechanical changes likely on offer.
A few days after receiving an invite for an unspecified HMSI press conference scheduled tomorrow afternoon (February 4), these images of a new Honda Activa 3G have emerged from one of the dealerships.
The Activa 3G is assumed to be the third generation of the scooter in India, but a report on Overdrive says it comes with no major facelifts. The only clues to support the upgrade are the 3G badges on either sides of the scooter and a 3-D Activa badge.
Reports say two new colours of the third generation refresh would be revealed in the event tomorrow. Apart from the standard colours, India's best selling scooter would now also be available in Blue and Brown.
On the engine front, not a lot is expected to change. The updated Activa 3G would feature the same 110 cc, single-cylinder engine that would produce 8 PS power and 8.74 Nm of torque that gets channeled to the road via a CVT. The updated scooter might see a slight tinkering to its ECU to provide a marginally better fuel economy.
The Activa 3G launch is expected to be followed by a series of updated two wheelers, as well as new ones from the Japanese two wheeler manufacturer, specially after it’s India VP of Sales and Marketing, YS Guleria said recently that the company is looking to launch 10 new models in 2015.

Amongst this huge lineup of upcoming launches, which the company did not reveal the names of, the CBR300R and the CBR650F are the highlighted products to make their debut in the country. On the other hand, the new CBR150R, featuring dual CBR1000RR-styled headlights, could be launched too, replacing the current model.
