Offered with two engine options.
Hyundai has launched the Grand i10 hatchback and Grand i10 Sedan (what is known as the Xcent in India) across the GCC (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE). Prices for the cars start at 37,000 Dirhams and extend up to 48,000 Dirhams (INR 6.38 to INR 8.28 lakhs).
There are two variants and engine choices on offer. The base engine is a 1.0-liter petrol delivering 66 PS (65.07 bhp) while the more powerful 1.25-liter engine produces 87 PS (85.77 bhp). A 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic is available depending on the engine.
In the Indian market, both cars get a 1.2-liter petrol engine (to qualify for small car duty benefits) and a 1.1-liter diesel engine. Apart from the engines, there are no changes to the cars sold in the GCC in comparison to India. In fact, Hyundai Motor India Limited's (HMIL) Chennai plant is responsible for exporting these cars.
The top-end variants get features like diamond-cut alloy wheels, multifunction steering wheel, integrated music system with 1GB in-built storage, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, ABS and dual airbags.

In India, the Xcent was showcased at the Auto Expo last year, shortly after which it went on sale. While the Grand i10 averages volumes of 7,613 units per month, the Xcent rakes in 5,373 units per month.
