Will also get a turbo RS variant.
The new Suzuki Alto kei car for the Japanese domestic market has been released following the leaks. The small car will go on sale in the country on December 22.
Suzuki has resorted to a retro approach for its newest city car. The hatchback sports large headlamps and small slits instead of a traditional radiator grille. In profile, the short urban runabout features small rear doors with triangular rear quarter glass panels. The rear features a plain hatch door and bumper mounted combination lamps.
The interior also has a classic appeal to it with simple elements and the dashboard itself is designed to offer maximum cabin room. The gear lever is mounted on the centre console and the dashboard sports a white insert. The instrument console has an analogue dial and a multi-information display.
A sporty Alto Turbo RS variant is in the pipeline. However, the Japanese media reports suggest that it will be launched not prior to March 2015.

Both 2WD and 4WD versions are expected, and more details on the performance and fuel efficiency figures will be available on the day of launch.
The JDM Alto is not connected to the Alto sold in India.
