To use a detuned version of the AMG GT's 4.0-litre Biturbo V8 mill.
A pair of partially camouflaged 2015 Mercedes C 63 AMG test mules (sedan and estate) have been spied by Diariomotor. The performance variant could debut at the Paris Motor Show alongside its stablemate, the Mercedes AMG GT.
The C 63 AMG is differentiated from the regular C Class variants by means of mean-looking bumpers, AMG body kits and bigger AMG alloy wheels. Inside, the car gets slim sports bucket seats upfront which are finished in black leather with chrome and Alcantara accents.
Expect the dashboard to be sporting a black theme with aluminium and cabon fibre inserts, an AMG instrument panel and a flat-bottomed steering wheel.
Mercedes has not revealed the tech specs of its youngest wolf in sheep's clothing. The 4.0-litre Biturbo V8 petrol engine which powers the AMG GT sportscar is expected to serve the C 63 AMG as well albeit in a slightly detuned guise. The entry-level variant is expected to offer at least 450 PS (443.6 bhp).
An AMG SPEEDSHIFT sports transmission and a 4MATIC all-wheel drive system should come standard.
