Ahead of its launch in India this September, the 2015 Hyundai i20 is fully revealed in these new spy pictures. The new i20, as these spy image show, is a complete design rethink.
The front of the car borrows a few features from the Grand i10 (2014 i10) launched last year with a hexagonal airdam element, thin grille and flared headlamps. Over to the sides, the hatchback seems to retain dimensions of the outgoing i20, which measures 3,995 mm long. The top-end variants, we are told, will get chrome door handles, diamond-cut alloy wheels and wing mirrors with integrated turn signals. The C-Pillar of the car is blackened on some variants (seen here), we also gather.
At the rear the taillights get the 'Fluidic' treatment and extend up till the boot. The rear fascia of the new i20 also appears to be very sporty. Inside, the 2015 i20 gets a more modern looking dashboard, and equipment levels are expected to better the current generation model.
Power for the new i20 is likely to come from the same set of petrol and diesel engines. Fuel efficiencies could be enhanced slightly though. The new i20 promises to build on the success of its predecessor and offer an all-round package at a competitive price.
