The Yamaha YZF-R25 is made exclusively by YIMM in Indonesia.

Otonity reports that, according to Mr. Mohammad Masykur, Assistant General, marketing, PT Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing (YIMM), the Indonesia-spec model will be offered with ABS starting from the first half of 2015.

YIMM, the sole manufacturer of the quarter litre sportsbike has been exporting the ABS equipped model to Japan. Due to the huge demand in the Indonesian market for the R25, the company has drastically scaled down its original export plans.

To recap, the R25 is powered by a 249 cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine which is mated to a 6-speed gearbox to deliver 36 PS (35.28 bhp) and 22.6 Nm of torque. The motorcycle has a top speed of over 173 km/h.
