Made by Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing (YIMM), the Kawasaki Ninja 300 challenger has received excellent response in the domestic market having clocked 2,800 initial bookings. While Yamaha has commenced deliveries, it would take a few months to clear the backlogs since the demand was unprecedented.
As a result, the export plans have been put on temporary hold. The R25 is destined to be launched in several markets including India, Japan and Vietnam.
The small displacement sportsbike is powered by a 250 cc parallel twin fuel-injected motor which is paired to a 6-speed gearbox. The liquid cooled engine puts out 36 PS (35.28 bhp) and 22.6 Nm of torque. The motorcycle is capable of a top speed of over 173 km/h.
