Powered by a new 1.6-liter flex-fuel engine.
The VW Fox Pepper concept will be presented at the Sao Paulo Motor Show which takes place from October 28 to November 9. Based on the widely-sold Fox hatchback, the Pepper is an interesting take of a sporty variant, which will depend on customer reaction and feedback, for production aspirations.
To do justice to its name (Pepper), the car is painted in a 'Red Tornado' shade, and comes with a sportier front bumper, 15-inch diamond cut alloy wheels and a contrasting black finish for the roof and wing mirror covers. The rear of the Pepper sees a dual exhaust system and a glossy black diffuser-like element.
The sporty treatment is carried on to the interior of the car. Leather seats, red inserts for the AC vents, a new steering wheel with integrated controls and new carpets give the Fox Pepper a distinctive design.
Mechanically, the Fox Pepper gets a new 1.6-liter four-cylinder flex-fuel engine which makes 120 hp when run on ethanol. Paired to a 6-speed manual transmission, the car accelerates to 100 km/h in 9.8 seconds (10.3 seconds when run on gasoline) and achieves a top-speed of 189 km/h (183 km/h with gasoline).
