The base variant will be launched first.
MAW Enterprises, the sole and authorized distributor of Skoda cars in Nepal, plans to launch the new Octavia next month. Initially, the base Ambition trim will be launched, followed by the top-end Elegance in the future.
The Octavia for Nepal will be powered by the 2.0-liter four-cylinder TDI engine which produces 143 PS (140.98 bhp) at 4,000 rpm and 320 Nm of torque between 1,750 - 3,000 rpm, paired to a 6-speed manual transmission. The car has an ARAI certified fuel efficiency of 20.6 km/l.
The sedan measures 4,659 mm in length, 1,814 mm in width, 1,476 mm in height and 2,688 mm in wheelbase. The boot space is at 590 liters, which can be expanded to 1,580 liters with the rear seats folded.
The Ambition trim gets features like 16-inch alloy wheels, turn indicators integrated on the wing mirrors, automatic headlights, LED daytime running lights, ABS, EBD, ESC, ASR (Anti Slip Regulation), electronic locking differential, dual front airbags and rear parking sensors.
Further, the car gets dual-zone automatic climate control, rear AC vents, leather upholstery, electrically adjustable and folding wing mirrors, an 8-speaker audio system with steering mounted controls and automatic wipers.

The Octavia Ambition will be priced at 6.7 million NPR (INR 41.73 lakhs). It will be exported from Skoda Auto India's Aurangabad plant which assembles the car from Czech-made CKD kits.
