Chinese model gets plenty of chrome touches.
Suzuki revealed the pre-production Alivio (Ciaz for India) at the Beijing Motor Show in April this year, and the first official images of the production-ready car have just been released. Chinese sales of the Alivio is expected to start in the coming weeks.
The Alivio for China looks largely similar to the Ciaz, save for a few key styling elements. The overdone chrome grille, chrome foglight enclosures, larger alloy wheels and chrome highlights for the rear reflectors differentiate the Alivio from the Ciaz.
The Ciaz is announced to get power from a 1.4-liter K-Series engine and a 1.3-liter Multijet diesel engine, as fuel efficiency takes precedence over performance in India. The Alivio on the other hand will source power only from petrol engines, with Chinese media expecting a more powerful 1.6-liter unit paired to manual and automatic transmissions on it.
