SX4 successor to go on sale with 1.4-liter petrol and 1.3-liter diesel engines.
Indian Autos Blog learns through dealer-level sources that Maruti Suzuki will start pre-launch bookings for the upcoming Ciaz on September 3, 2014. The booking amount will be INR 21,000.
The same sources also confirmed that the Ciaz will indeed carry over its engines from the Ertiga MPV. The petrol engine will be the 1.4-liter four-cylinder K-Series producing about 95 PS (93.66 bhp) and 130 Nm of torque while the Fiat-sourced 1.3-liter Multijet engine will put out 90 PS (88.73 bhp) and 200 Nm of torque.
The sedan will be available in three trim levels each for petrol and diesel. Features like projector headlights, 16-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels, rear AC vents, automatic climate control, power folding wing mirrors and a 2-DIN music system along with dual airbags and ABS will be seen on the top-end trim.

Maruti has already commenced series production of the Ciaz at the Manesar plant, located in Haryana. Dealer dispatch of the cars is expected to start anytime now.
