As the KTM RC390 and RC200 inch closer to their debut, the Austrian two wheeler maker partly owned by Bajaj has released a video highlighting the track-focused RC390’s salient features and benefits.

The KTM RC390, the company says, is inspired from the brand’s success in MotoGP’s Moto3 category. The RC390 benefits from KTM’s MotoGP lessons especially in departments like the aerodynamic design. The motorcycle has its front turn indicators embedded on the rear view mirrors so as to reduce drag.
Held together by a trellis chassis with an aluminium swing arm, the RC390 is powered by a 375 cc (373.2 cc to be precise) single-cylinder liquid-cooled petrol engine which employs fuel injection system to put out an impressive 42.9 bhp and 35 Nm of torque. A 6-speed gearbox transfers power via a chain drive. The motorcycle is claimed to have best-in-class power to weight ratio.
If the stock model is not racy enough, customers can personalize their RC390’s with genuine accessories like petal discs, Akrapovic exhaust, racing seats instead of a pillion seat and so on. The WP front and rear suspension (with pre-load adjust) ensure good handling.
The dealer preview of the RC twins is set to happen in India on August 29th shortly after which the bikes are expected to be launched in India. Like their Duke street fighter siblings, the RC 390 and RC200 would be made at Bajaj’s Chakan plant.
