Nissan commenced production of the 2015 Nissan Juke at their Sunderland plant in the United Kingdom. The refreshed Juke had its debut earlier this year at the Geneva Motor Show and gets cosmetic and mechanical revisions.
Nissan have replaced the naturally aspirated 1.6-liter petrol engine with a downsized 1.2-liter turbocharged unit making 115 PS and 190 Nm of torque. The higher displacement petrol engine, a 1.6-liter turbocharged unit, has been revised for lower-end torque, say Nissan. The diesel Juke, which uses the 1.5-liter dCi K9K engine, has no changes.
On the outside, the 2015 model gets redesigned headlights with integrated daytime running lights, while the lower chin of the car gets Nissan's new corporate identity. Other changes in the crossover include revised seat fabrics, dashboard trim colors and alloy wheel designs.
Since its launch in Europe in 2010, Nissan have delivered over 540,000 units of the crossover. Sales of the refreshed Juke commenced in the UK, and will start in other European markets in the weeks to come.
In India, Nissan have not announced any plans to launch the Juke. The segment of the Juke (compact SUV) is represented by the Terrano in India instead.
