Powered by the new 1.5-liter TDI engine.
Here are the first images fully revealing the 2014 VW Vento (facelift), ahead of its launch which will take place in the coming days.
Like the new Polo, the Vento too gets new dual-barrel headlight clusters, and that is as far as changes go on the front. Designers have left the grille and front bumper untouched. Over to the sides, the Vento gets a new alloy wheel pattern, and a new body color (which is called Toffee Brown on the Jetta).
Inside, the tachometer of this Vento confirms it to be a diesel model, and as seen inside, the transmission is a DSG automatic unit. Like the new Polo, the Vento too gets the new flat-bottomed steering wheel, redesigned instrument cluster and silver inserts for the center console.

Mechanically, the Vento will ditch its 1.6-liter TDI engine for the new 1.5-liter TDI seen on the Polo. This engine is likely to produce 105 PS (103.52 bhp) at 4,400 rpm and 250 Nm of torque between 1,500-2,500 rpm. The 5-speed manual will be a standard fitment, and the 6-speed DSG will come on the top-end variant.
