New spyshots of the 2014 VW Polo facelift in India reveal the interiors of the Indian-spec car. VW India will launch the refreshed Polo next month, which is pretty quick considering that European deliveries of the car commenced only last month.
On the outside, the refreshed Polo comes with a new front bumper with redesigned foglight enclosures and a chrome strip. The dual-slat chrome grille of the hatchback is now replaced by a single-slat grille. Coming to the headlights, the 2014 Polo gets minor changes to the mirror elements and it now resembles that of the pre-facelifted European model.
At the rear, the bumper gets a larger enclosure for the registration plate along with the inclusion of reflectors. The Polo spotted here sports a new orange body color, and is the top-end 1.2-liter petrol model.
Inside, the refreshed Polo will get a new 3-spoke steering wheel, the same unit seen on the European model. Given that this is the top-end trim, controls for the music system and Bluetooth are integrated in the wheel. The instrument cluster is unchanged, though the center information screen gets a new font face. On the international model, the instrument cluster is brand new with chrome accents.
The updated Polo will also get a silver accent for its center console, in line with the European model. Petrol engine options - 1.2-liter three-cylinder and 1.2-liter TSI - will remain unchanged. The diesel Polo however, is reported to get a 1.5-liter four-cylinder TDI unit.
