Triumph Motorcycles has updated its Modern Classic range for 2014.
The Modern Classic range, as the company likes to call it, includes Triumph Bonneville, T100, Thruxton and Scrambler. The refresh introduces minor improvements to the ergonomics, aesthetics and exhaust notes.
To start with, all the above mentioned motorcycles sport machined engine cylinder cooling fins and blacked out oil cooler lines. Except the Scrambler, all bikes get improved silencers for a different sound exhaust note.
The 2014 Triumph Bonneville benefits from new seat design and improved filler material. The entry-level retro motorcycle is available in three color options - Phantom Black, Lunar Silver and Crystal White/Sapphire Blue (dual tone).
The 2014 T100 offers new Crystal White, Aurum Gold (Inspired by the 1964 Bonneville) and Jet Black color schemes apart from the familiar Jet Black/Cranberry Red paint scheme. The grab rail and the chain guard are finished in chrome.
Available in Phantom Black and Brooklands Green, the 2014 Thruxton makes do with a body colored flyscreen complete with golden stripes and a seat cowl as standard fitments.
Apart from the oil cooler lines, the handle bars, wheel rims, hubs and rear master cylinder reservoir of the 2014 Scrambler also get black finish. New seat design improves the ergonomics and the bike gets two new color schemes - Matt Pacific Blue and Lunar Silver/Diablo Red.
Triumph Motorcycles will start its long overdue Indian operations in November with a CKD plant at Manesar. The Bonneville would be the most affordable motorcycle in the extensive lineup.
