The 2014 Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG Coupe had its world debut at the 2014 Moscow Motor Show (2014 Moscow International Auto Salon) last week. Based on the S Class coupe, the S65 is the flagship model on the coupe series, says Mercedes-Benz.
Power for the car comes from an AMG-tuned 6.0-litre V12 bi-turbo engine capable of developing 630 bhp at 4,800 - 5,400 rpm and 1,000 Nm of torque between 2,300 - 4,300 rpm. The coupe accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 4.1 seconds and achieves a top-speed electronically limited to 250 km/h.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch AMG SPEEDSHIFT transmission with three driving modes (Economy, Sport and Manual). A sports suspension and steering system also find their way into the S65.
Other features in the coupe include an exclusive carbon fibre/aluminium engine cover a 360-degree camera, Active Parking Assist with PARKTRONIC, a Burmester high-end 3D surround sound system, Driving Assistance package Plus including DISTRONIC PLUS with Steering Assist and Stop&Go Pilot, PRE-SAFE Brake, Active Blind Spot Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist and AMG Exclusive nappa leather upholstery.
The S65 AMG is priced at 244,009 euros (INR 1.93 crores) in Germany.
