Renault Brazil is celebrating sales of 100,000 Dusters since the launch in October 2011. To commemorate this milestone, the French carmaker has launched a special edition called the Road Tech II edition.
Loosely based on the Road Tech I edition that was launched in September 2012, the II edition gains a 'Dark Star' grille, black masks for the headlights, blackened roof rails and air inlets, a grey finish for the wing mirrors and 16-inch alloy wheels, and Road Tech II decals on the bootlid and lower body cladding.
Inside, the Road Tech II gets Renault's 7-inch touchscreen media system with integrated navigation. Since this edition is based on the Dynamique variant (the top-end trim), features such as rear parking sensors, ABS and dual front airbags are standard.
The Road Tech II will be available only with the 2.0-liter 16v engine which produces 138 bhp (petrol) or 142 bhp (ethanol) and 197 Nm (petrol) or 209 Nm (ethanol) of torque. This is paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox (available with 4x2 and 4x4) or a 4-speed auto box (available only with 4x2).
Olivier Murguet, President of Renault of Brazil, said -
The Duster is a model that offers robustness, internal space and meets the customer's needs both in town and off road. These and other qualities prove its optimal business performance.
