The third generation of the Nissan Murano crossover has been spied for the first time.
A prototype wrapped in heavy camouflage has been spied testing on the public streets of the United States. Due to the cloaked nature of the car not much can be said about the exterior design. Shiro Nakamura Vice President, Nissan had hinted last year that the next gen Murano would sport a very different look compared to the current model.
The 2015 Nissan Murano could have all its design cues from the Resonance concept which had made its world debut at the 2013 North American International Auto Show in January 2013. It would be generated on Nissan’s modular D platform and could hit the showrooms late next year.
No official information is available at this time, but power could come from a V6 petrol engine mated with a CVT. A hybrid model with the powertrain shown on the Resonance Concept comprising of a 2.5L four cylinder engine in parallel with an electric motor could also be offered.
