Our obsession with the all new Skoda Octavia is well known among our regular readers and this time we have yet another new thing to share about the car.
Yes, enough of teaser images, here is the full car without any camouflage or disguise whatsoever!
Autoforum.cz has managed to get their hands on this photo which is the most revealing yet.
Inspired by the MissionL Concept, the Skoda Octavia is one of the most significant global launches to take place next year. The Czech car maker is positive and confident that their latest offering will go on to become one of the top 10 best selling cars in the world.
The car is based on the Volkswagen MQB platform and has grown in dimensions when compared to the previous generation Octavia which is called Laura in India. From the picture it's evident that the car has the new family look which debuted in the European Rapid, yet the Octavia manages to feel more premium than its smaller sibling by emphasizing more on attention to detail.
The 2013 Skoda Octavia is powered by petrol engines with following displacements, 1.2-, 1.4- and 1.8 liters, and diesel engines of capacities 1.6L and 2.0L. The power output of the engines range from 84hp to 177hp. Transmission duty is handled by a 5-speed manual or 6-speed DSG automatic gearboxes.
Expect Skoda to officially unveil the car in a week's time. The car will come to India as the replacement of the Laura sometime in 2013. It will compete with the VW Jetta, Hyundai Elantra, Chevrolet Cruze and the Renault Fluence.
