MAW Enterprises Pvt. Ltd., the authorized distributor of Yamaha motorcycles and scooters in Nepal has showcased the Yamaha FZ25 at the 2017 NADA Auto Show.
The Yamaha FZ25 was launched in the country on the 16th of this month; at an introductory price of NPR 3,44,900. It comes in three colour options - Ballistic Blue, Warrior White and Knight Black. The motorcycle employs a 249 cc single cylinder SOHC 2-valve engine with oil cooling and fuel injection. The powerplant produces a maximum power of 20.9 PS at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 20 Nm at 6,000 rpm. Yamaha has fine-tuned and optimized the engine for the Nepalese traffic environment; primarily at the intake, exhaust, and the ignition system. The powerplant nestles inside a diamond type frame, and pairs with a 5-speed transmission.

For suspension, the bike uses telescopic fork at the front and a monocross unit at the rear. The headlight and tail light are LED units and the fuel tank capacity stands at 14 litres. The motorcycle features a fully digital instrument cluster with fuel consumption indicator.
The wet weight of the bike is 148 Kg, and the seat height is 795 mm. The motorcycle rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels that are shod with a 100-section front and a 140-section rear tubeless tyres. Yamaha has targeted the motorcycle at biking enthusiasts in the age group of 20s to mid-30s.
